What should my child wear? +

Leotard and shorts or leggings, or shorts / leggings with a t-shirt that fully covers the gymnasts stomach.

Can my child just tape their earrings?+

No jewellery including earrings are permitted. This is a British Gymnastics rule. Tape is only allowed for 6 weeks from when a piercing is done. We reserve the right to record the date that tape is first worn, to monitor the 6 week window and ensure that we are operating in line with British Gymnastics guidance.

What is British Gymnastics Membership and how do I set this up? +

To be a member of Chelmsford Gymnastics Club, you must hold British Gymnastics Membership. As a British Gymnastics affiliated club, all of our regular gymnasts have to be registered for welfare and insurance purposes.

What do I do if my child isn’t happy? +

If your child isn’t enjoying their session, for whatever reason, please contact us!

Are you open in the school holidays? +

Yes, our regular classes run as usual. However, we offer holiday club and skills workshops during the day.

I need to speak to someone, what time is the office open? +

What food and drink are allowed in the gym? +

If your child is coming to a long session, a snack break will be accommodated however it is essential that no food sharing is allowed due to allergies. Please be mindful of allergies and do not pack any snacks containing nuts for your child.

Why has my child moved groups or coaches? +

Recreational classes are based on the gymnasts age.

Can I stay with my child during pre-school sessions? +

For our structured pre-school classes, parents bring their child into the gym before the session begins and then watch from our upstairs viewing gallery.

We understand that some children may take a little time to settle, so we offer a short settling-in period where parents can remain in the gym if needed.
