Ingredients
- 125g unsalted butter (softened)
- 100g brown sugar
- 75g white sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 225g plain flour
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 150g chocolate chips
Method
- Preheat oven to 180°C (160°C fan).
- Cream together the butter and sugars until smooth.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.
- Mix in the flour, baking soda, and salt until combined.
- Stir in the chocolate chips.
- Scoop spoonfuls of dough onto a lined baking tray.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes until golden.
- Leave to cool slightly before serving.
Tips
- For softer cookies, take them out slightly earlier.
- For crispier cookies, bake a little longer.
- Dough can be chilled for thicker cookies.
