About Us

Chelmsford Gymnastics Club provides high-quality gymnastics classes for all genders, from 18 months through to adults.

We are a limited company with charitable status, meaning all surplus funds are reinvested directly into the club. This supports coach development, competition entry, training courses, and the continual improvement of our equipment and facilities.

Founded over 38 years ago at Dovedale Sports Centre in Chelmsford, the club has grown significantly under the leadership of Head Coach Julie Belemore, who took over in 1992. At that time, just 20 gymnasts trained on two badminton courts.

Today, Chelmsford Gymnastics Club is home to over 1,000 gymnasts, training throughout the week in our purpose-built facility, opened in April 2012.

We now offer a wide range of programmes for both boys’ and girls’ artistic gymnastics, with thriving recreational and competitive squads for all genders.
